Department of Finance (DOF) of Taipei City Government (TCG) has extended the loan period for acquiring city properties through public tenders and has announced the tender sale of 19 high-quality urban renewal housing units. We sincerely welcome and encourage active participation in the bidding process.
DOF today announced 19 high-quality city-owned properties acquired through urban renewal projects for public tender, with a total base price exceeding NTD 1.38 billion. The deadline for bid submission is at 11am on October 21, 2025, and the bids are scheduled to be opened at 3pm on the same day. We sincerely welcome and encourage active participation in the bidding process from all interested parties. DOF stated that the 19 city properties are located in key districts of Taipei City, including Wenshan, Daan, Zhongzheng, Nangang, Shilin, Xinyi, Beitou, and Zhongshan. The properties range in size from 14 to 262 ping (approximately 46 to 866 square meters), and include a variety of types such as commercial spaces, and two- bedroom, three- bedroom, and four-bedroom residential units. The minimum starting bid is NTD 26.43 million. Among these, six properties are being released for the first time, including three properties on Antong Street in Daan District (Chin Jia JIA Community), within a 5-minute walk to Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT Station, offering both convenient transportation and comprehensive daily amenities. Another property on Section 1, Muxin Road in Wenshan District (Chung Tai Zhan Community) is located in the front row along Daonan Riverside Park, and near the Muzha Branch of Taipei Public Library. It’s just a short walk over the bridge to National Chengchi University, offering a peaceful environment with convenient amenities. Two properties on Section 1, Hangzhou South Road in Zhongzheng District (Cheng Long Residence Community) are located in a fully enrolled school district, recognized as a prime educational area. Both Shandao Temple and Zhongxiao Xinsheng MRT Station are within walking distance, offering excellent transportation accessibility. Interested homebuyers may select suitable bidding properties based on their individual needs. Commissioner Hsiao-Lan Hu of DOF stated that the department has been actively promoting the participation of city-owned land in urban renewal projects. To revitalize the urban renewal housing units acquired through such projects, DOF has released 200 residential units to the rental market this year (2025), helping to expand the supply of rental housing. This public tender features 19 carefully selected properties, with base prices reappraised based on current market conditions. The aim is to strike a balance between fairness and asset efficiency while offering higher-quality options in the current real estate tender market. Commissioner Hu further explained that, in response to the Central Bank’s loan policies, this tender operation has extended the deadline for bidders to get a bank loan and complete payment by up to three months. This adjustment aims to ease the pressure on buyers during the loan application and disbursement process. DOF reminds interested individuals that they may use the online 3D virtual tour service to view the properties directly. Detailed tender information and 3D virtual tour service can be found on the website of TCG DOF (https://dof.gov.taipei). Alternatively, interested bidders may contact the responsible staff of DOF before October 15, 2025, to schedule an in-person property viewing. Tender documents can be downloaded directly from DOF website or obtained free of charge in person from the Administrative Services Office (limited to one serving per person).
