25595370https://english.dof.gov.taipei/News_Content.aspx?n=513908AACDDC2AD7&s=85E0C56A4DC25109Service<p id="isPasted">Taipei City Secured Small Loans Service provides secured short-term pawn loans service to people with item of personal property as pledge.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Interest Rate</strong></p><p id="isPasted">The current monthly interest rate for the public is 0.68%, i.e., each monthly interest is NT$68 accrued from the principal amount NT$10,000 per month.</p><p>Taipei City Secured Small Loans Service implements the policy for the customer whose domicile place is registered in Taipei City to offer the preferential monthly interest rate is 0.56%, and furthermore offers the preferential monthly rate for those people above who are from low-income household, family in hardship, indigenous people and people with disabilities is 0.32%.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirement</strong></p><p>Pledge and pledgor valid identity document such as ID card, driving license, passport or ARC (Alien Resident Certificate) are required for customers go for pawn loans service.</p><p><br><strong>Loans period</strong><br>Pledged item is able to be redeemed or extended pawn validity within 6 months, except the pledged item of motorcycle, pure silver, karat gold and electronics that is within 3 months.</p><p><br></p><p><img alt="Collateral items" src="http://www-ws.gov.taipei/001/Upload/public/MMO/ENGDOF/Collateral%20items.jpg" style="width: 20%; height: auto;" title="Collateral items" class="fr-fil fr-dib"></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Pledge Item</strong></p><p>Precious metals (pure gold, pure platinum, pure silver), karat gold, diamond, fancy colored diamond, sapphire, ruby, mechanical watch, motorcycle and electronics.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Interest Charge</strong></p><ol><li id="isPasted">When the pledged item is redeemed within a month, the interest will be charged for one month.</li><li>When the period of a loan is a month, it will be charged for one month of interest.</li><li>When the period of a loan is more than one month, there will be no charge for the initial 5 days of the next month if the interest from previous period is settled, moreover, it goes more than the 5 days above, an additional half month of interest will be charged, and it will be charged for an additional month of interest when it goes over 15 days. Furthermore, interest will not be deducted in advance.</li></ol><p><strong>Redemption</strong></p><p>Pledgor shall be entitled to redeem pledged item with pawn ticket by paying the principal and interest off at any time during business hours before the maturity date.</p><p><br></p>[][][][]Department of Finance, Taipei City Government25595380https://english.dof.gov.taipei/News_Content.aspx?n=513908AACDDC2AD7&s=2421476D01D30C6AIntroduction<p><strong>Organization Chart</strong></p><p>Taipei City Secured Small Loans Service is subordinate agency to Department of Finance of Taipei City Government which manages 6 branches, including the branch of Nan Men, Long Shan, Da Tong, Zhong Shan, Jing Mei and Shi Lin that it is the one of two pawnshops operated by city government in the whole country.</p><p><br></p><p>There are subordinates to the Director of agency, their duties are as followed:</p><ol><li>Business Section:<br>Business Section is in charge of the operation and management of movable security loans, as well as the tender of the overdue securities.</li><li>Auditing Section:<br>Auditing Section is in charge of the establishment, analysis, statistics, and management of the data of security loans as well as the auditing and examining of loans.</li><li>Administrative Services Office:<br>Administrative Services Office is in charge of the operation and allocation of finance, documents, research and evaluation, general affairs, cashier, and other duties.</li><li>Accounting Office:<br>Accounting Office is in charge of budgeting, accounting and statistics.</li><li>The personnel officer deals with the personnel-related affairs in accordance with the regulation.
