“Cloud Invoices × Electronic Tax Bills × Green Points,Together Respond to e-Gov, Achieving Net Zero with Extra Benefits and Love the Earth!”

To encourage citizens to respond to a brand new net-zero lifestyle,  Department of Environment Protection (DEP), Taipei City Government and Taipei City Revenue Service (TRS) are collaborating to host the "Cloud Invoices × Electronic Tax Bills × Green Points: Together Respond to e-Gov, Achieving Net Zero with Extra Benefits" event. From now until November 15th, 2024, taxpayers apply for electronic transmitting for tax bills or notice of electronic transfer payment of the city’s regular levied vehicle license tax, house tax, and land value tax, who register their cloud invoice mobile barcode, or setting reward account, can participate in the eco-friendly green points drawing. We encourage the public to seize this opportunity to contribute to a paperless, low-carbon lifestyle, promote green consumption and electronic tax payment.


TRS indicates, the event coincides with the collection of the 2024 land value tax, to encourage taxpayers of Taipei to apply for electronic tax bills or electronic transfer payment notifications, taxpayers pay their land value tax before November 15th. The first 500 who complete their tax payment or the first 500 who pay their land value tax via pay.taipei in advance, early-bird taxpayers will each receive 2,000 green points to the last point.


DEP explains that according to the International Energy Agency's analysis of global energy sector net-zero pathways, 8% of emissions reductions come from changes in behavior that reduce energy demand and improvements in material recycling or usage efficiency. By using electronic tax bills and cloud invoices instead of traditional paper documents, we can reduce carbon emissions associated with paper production. Even small changes in our daily lives can lead to significant impacts. Additionally, replacing traditional disseminating materials with green points not only assigns value to environmental protection actions but also allows individuals to exchange green points for environmentally friendly products, helping to achieve a net-zero green lifestyle.


To encourage more citizens to join the eco-friendly green point membership program, during the event period, individuals who download and install the "GreenPoint" app and register as members can enter the exclusive referral code "TBTPC9" by TRS. By binding their cloud invoice mobile barcode or any other carrier (such as electronic ticket), who will receive 2,000 green points. The first 2,000 new members who enter event code "RSMI06" provided by DEP and bind their cloud invoice mobile barcode will receive an additional 1,000 green points. Availability is limited, and rewards will be distributed until supplies last, totally 3,000 green points per account, with each account eligible to claim once.


DEP further explains that "green points" are rewards for eco-conscious living! Green points can be earned by purchasing environmentally friendly products, using public transportation, or participating in environmental initiatives organized by the Ministry of the Environment. Green points can be redeemed for electronic coupons at green stores for eco-friendly products, or get discounts at appointed eco-friendly restaurants or hotels with GreenMark. Including vouchers for green products at convenience stores/supermarkets/warehouse, eco-tourism services, admission tickets, meal vouchers at eco-restaurants, and accommodation vouchers, as well as charitable donations.

By simply joining the eco-point membership program and setting up an account, you can earn green points as rewards from various green consumption activities and exchange them for a variety of discounts and products.
