In 2020, Taipei City Government (TCG) has made great effort promoting private investment in 12 projects of public works, including Nangang Bus Station BOT Project, Tianmu Baseball Stadium OT Project etc., reaching total private investment of NT$4 billion. Owing to the largest amount of signed projects among Local governments, TCG won the 2020 PPP Distinguished Awards for the fourth time in succession.

TCG still actively made great effort promoting private investment during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2021. The Land Development Project of the Songjiang Nanjing Station on the MRT Songshan Line and Taipei City Digital Content Creative Center BOT Project were signed, and Land Development Project for Circular Line Y26 Station has approved the best applicant as of September 30, 2021. In addition, Establishment of Superficies for Land Lot No.88, 91, 93,Ruanqiao Section, Beitou District, Taipei City, with an estimated investment amount of more than NT$30 billion, are undergoing investor evaluation. The project of OT of Nangang SoHo Arts & Cultural District Park OT Project is publicly promoting private investment.

Department of Finance stated that , Taipei , with irreplaceable economic and trade advantages, is the most competitive and international city in Taiwan. In recent years, TCG has continued to improve the investment environment in order to attract enterprises to march into. Furthermore, TCG will continue to launch investment promotion cases in order to achieve multiple goals, such as promoting the efficiency of the use of public property, creating business opportunities, promoting local development, increasing employment opportunities etc.
